Denotation & ConNotation.

The logo that University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh uses for branding itself, has some denotative and connotative meanings .What it anchores in the logo is the name of the university which is depicted in its own form "University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh" which is the denotative meaning .Then comes it's background & colours which conveys the connotative meaning of the logo.Like: White,Blue & Yellow and a Nib.White means the materialization of the presence of all colors. It means a complete energy of light. It stands for wholeness and completion. It symbolizes openness and truth. It depicts clarity of everything.White creates the vibration of moving forward towards all colours, towards all beginnings. So it indicates the students making their steps forwarded to all new dimensions of life in utmost purity. Now describing the colour Blue. Blue brings peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away. It shows the confidence without being somber or dull or dusky. It is again showing off the energy and spirits of the students. Finally, the colour Yellow. Yellow comes from sunshine which is the ultimate source of every energy. It brings hope, happiness, support and considerd of fotitude and courage on behalf of students stepping for their new intruduction. And the last but not the least is the sign of the nib of a pen which means knowledge, wisdom and articulation. So these are the thoughts which come to my mind while i think of the denotative and connotative meanings of ULAB logo.
